WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Police are investigating two shootings and a stabbing that happened overnight in D.C.

The first shooting was reported around 11:45 p.m. in the 1000 block f McKenna Walk in Northwest, D.C., Metropolitan police said. A man was shot several times. He was conscious when he was transported to the hospital.

Police say a stabbing happened around 2:08 a.m. in the 3500 block of Fort Lincoln Dr. in Northeast, D.C. The man was taken to the hospital. According to authorities the man was stabbed in the chest.

The second shooting was reported around 3 a.m. in the 1000 block of 22nd St. in Northwest, D.C. A man was found with a gunshot wound to his hand. Police are searching for multiple suspects in connection with the shooting. According to authorities the man may have moved from the shooting scene to Dupont Circle to call for help.
