An 11-month-old Baltimore City boy who sparked an Amber Alert Wednesday afternoon has been found safe.
Baltimore City Police say a passerby spotted Leo Garcia Lopez in his car seat on a residential sidewalk.
Officers say the child was strapped into his mother’s SUV when a teen suspect jumped in and drove off. The mother was taking groceries into her house at the time and left the SUV running.
The teen drove with the child in the vehicle for about 10 minutes before leaving him on a sidewalk.
Police searched for the suspect and the stolen SUV through the afternoon and havesince found both the suspect in and the vehicle as of 6 p.m.
No information has yet to be released on the suspect or pending charges.
