You could go see awards bait or holiday movies next month, or you could take one more ride on Titanic with Rose and Jack.
Dolby Laboratories, Paramount Pictures and AMC Theaters announced Wednesday that they're celebrating the 20th anniversary of the romance/disaster flick by sending it back into AMC theaters for one week starting Dec. 1. Tickets are on sale now.
Director James Cameron says it is the best-looking version of Titanic ever released.
“We mastered a few minutes of Titanic in Dolby Vision and I was stunned. It was like seeing it for the first time," he said in a statement provided by Jenn Molay of Allied Media. "Now that the entire film has been mastered, I’m excited to share it with audiences across the U.S."
Cameron teased, "This is beyond 3D, beyond 70mm, it’s beyond anything you’ve seen before. The image leaps off the screen as bright and vibrant as life itself. This is the way all movies should be seen. and without a doubt, Titanic has never looked better.”
In the D.C. area, the movie will be shown at:
- AMC Hoffman Center 22
- AMC Georgetown 14
- AMC Potomac Mills 18
- AMC Tysons Corner 16
