The students who spoke were fiery, motivated, and incredibly emotional.

One of the most moving speeches was one with no words.

Emma Gonzalez read the names of all of the people killed in Parkland Florida one month and ten days ago.

She paused and cried for the 17-people killed and all of the lives changed.

“Fight for your lives before it is someone else’s job,” Gonzalez said.

Students from all over the county relived their crippling experiences with gun violence.

“He comes towards me. I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t move. I couldn’t talk,” Mya Middleton recalled having a gun pointed at her.

One of the most powerful speeches that took social media by firestorm came from the voice of an 11-year-old.

“I am here to represent every African American woman who is shot and story does not appear on the evening news,” Naomi Wadler said.

Wadler said murdered black women have often only been listed as a statistic.

“I am here to say never again for those girls too,” she shouted.

Days away from the 50th Anniversary of her grandfather’s assassination, Martin Luther King Jr’s 9-year-old granddaughter called for change.

“I have a dream that enough is enough,” Yolanda Renee King said. “This should be a gun free world. Period.”
