It's not often you come across a lost horse, but that's exactly what the Frederick Police Department found wandering down a street early Thursday morning.
The 30-year-old horse named Bandit has recently been reunited with his family, but that didn't stop the police department from getting a kick out of the situation.
Around 9 a.m. on Thursday, the police department took to Facebook in an attempt to find Bandit's family. Although, at first, the sweet boy was mistaken as a girl.
Frederick police started the post by saying "sometimes we see strange things in this profession" and ended the post with "#fdpcare."
Bandit was found hoofing it on Old Camp Road along Rt. 40 in Frederick, Md. He was reunited with his family around 3:50 p.m. Police said Bandit just had a case of spring fever.
We're so happy Bandit was found safe and reunited with his family!
Way to go, Frederick Police Department!
