Her cry will break your heart. Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center is hoping someone will open their heart to Baby, a dog surrendered to the shelter—and not adjusting well to kennel life.
Baby was brought to the shelter in Derwood, Md. when her family said the felt they couldn’t take care of her anymore. They were the only family she ever knew.
Now, every night, Baby cries alone in her kennel, while staring at a wall.
“Our dog kennel area, which is usually filled with lots of loud barking, becomes silent other than Baby’s cries,” the adoption center wrote on Facebook.
Baby is 7 years old, shy, a little nervous, but not aggressive.
“Once she’s spent a little while with a new person, she opens up and enjoys snuggling and being pet,” the shelter explained.
But for now, Baby’s stressed and sad.
The shelter is hopeful her sad cries will touch someone’s heart, so Baby can get back to tail wagging and snuggling again.
Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center said someone already saw the video of Baby crying and paid for her adoption fee.
