Jerk Honey Glazed Ham

Celebrity chef and cookbook author Chef Mark Bailey shares his Jerk Honey Glazed Ham recipe that is perfect to serve for an Easter dinner.

Ingredients:

  • 1 fully cooked spiral ham
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp jerk seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tbsp grated lemon peel

Directions:

1. Preheat oven at 350 degrees.

2. Place ham in large roasting pan, flat side down, along with 1/2 cup water.

3. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

4. In 2-quart saucepan, whisk together honey, brown sugar, ginger, jerk seasoning, cloves, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.

5. Heat on medium until sugar dissolves, whisking often.

6. Cool completely. Stir in lemon peel.

7. Remove foil from ham, and brush generously with glaze.

8. Bake uncovered 30-40 minutes or until dark golden brown and ham is heated through, brushing with glaze every 10 minutes and remove from oven.

9. To remaining honey glaze, add 1/4 cup liquid from roasting pan, whisking to combine. Serve with ham.
