October is great for many reasons, but one of the best reasons is BEER FESTIVALS! Try this delicious beer mustard with your favorite brats or pretzels this fall.
Traditional Oktoberfest Beer Mustard
4 ounces coleman's dry mustard
4 oz lager beer
2 oz white wine vinegar
2 oz garlic powder
4 oz brown sugar
4 oz honey
pinch of salt
Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl and place over a double boiler until heated through. When heated through remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. The heat will be extreme at first but as the mustard sits the flavors will meld and mild out. Place in refrigerator after a couple of hours. Mustard will hold for up to 30 days.
