Syracuse University said 18 students in the engineering fraternity have been “removed from academic participation” in connection with the video. The university permanently expelled the fraternity chapter on Saturday, but the investigation remains ongoing.

Theta Tau chapter apologized on Friday, saying the activity was meant to be “satirical.” Other students face implication as the investigation continues.
