The Black Panther hit movie screens all over the DMV Thursday night and fans have great things to say.
AMC Loews Georgetown had more than 20 showings of the superhero flick on opening night.
Brittany Nixon saw the movie with her son.
"We have been waiting for this forever," she said. "You know how cool it is that my son's frame of reference is a black superhero movie?"
Sheila Spencer told WUSA9, as a black woman, she had been waiting for a movie like Black Panther for years.
"Because, I mean, you see everything else but you never see us," she said. "So, now, we're center stage."
