Riders on the Green line dealt with single-tracking and delays Friday morning due to a report of fire outside of the Congress Heights Metro station, Metro officials said.

The smoke was reported at the station just before 6 a.m., Metro stated. A train had to be off-loaded and inspected.

The fire department deemed the area as safe.

Other delays have been reported on the Green line Friday morning due to a power problem outside of the Greenbelt station, Metro tweeted.
