DC Public Schools got a a few shoutouts during the Emmys Sunday night on CBS leading the #DCPublicSchools hashtag to trend on Twitter.

First, comedian Dave Chappelle gave the city school system a shoutout when reading the prompter at the awards show.

The school district didn't miss a beat on Twitter, tweeting out a "hello" emoji at Chappelle.

Then HBO's Last Week Tonight host John Oliver asked viewers to make #DCPublicSchools go viral. The school district didn't miss a beat, again. 

It didn't take long for #DCPublicSchools to trend on Twitter. 

And of course, DC Public Schools were super excited and aprreciative.
