Things to do in DC, Maryland and Virginia: Nov. 10-12
The weekend is upon us and of course we have to tell you all about the fun you can partake in. There is something for everyone to enjoy regardless of if you live in DC, Maryland or Virginia.
1. Match Dot Bomb at Wonderland Ballroom, Saturday 8pm, Washington, D.C.
This is a male auction like no other. Mix and mingle with the bachelors right before they go on stage to perform standup comedy to win over your heart. All proceeds and donations will go to hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico.
2. Kensington Fall Colors and Holiday Lights Seasonal Walk, Every day until Dec. 30th 8am-9pm, Maryland
Grab your family or a close friend and enjoy the fall colors and holiday lights during this seasonal walk trail. On the path walkers will be able to stroll through Historic Kensington, Howard Avenue Antique Row and up to the Mormon Temple Visitor's Center to view annual holiday light decorations. Make sure you register in the “Walk Box” at Safeway’s customer service desk and remember to walk with a group at night.
3. Veterans Day Celebration, All Weekend, Virginia
Veterans Day is this Saturday and what better way to honor our troops than to sponsor them a beer. Fair Winds Brewing Country will be offering any active duty or veteran their first beer free throughout the whole weekend. They are asking non-military visitors to sponsor the cost of a beer to “pay it forward” by adding an extra beer to their tab for a service member. The brewery also lets customers write a note of gratitude, which will be given to the vet who receives “their” beer.
