After a family health crisis and financial issues threatened to take a beloved crossing guard from his post, parents at an elementary school pitched in to give him an unbelievable surprise.
President Obama said the United States will reopen its embassy in Havana and end its "outdated approach" toward Cuba. He said freeing Alan Gross and another American prisoner has cleared the way for the landmark policy changes to take place.
NASCAR driver Kurt Busch and his ex-girlfriend Patricia Driscoll were in a Dover family courtroom Tuesday. Driscoll says the driver smashed her face against a wall three times. Busch denies all charges.

Alan Gross, an American contractor who was arrested in Cuba in December 2009, landed at Joint Base Andrews Wednesday.

The U.S. Coast Guard rescued a man from an island in Cay Sal Bank, Bahamas after drifting in his dinghy from the Florida Keys. 39-year-old Larry Sutterfield was stranded for approximately six days.
