GAITHERSBURG, Md. (WUSA9) -- Montgomery County Police say they arrested a suspect in a sex assault that occurred on Goodport Court in Gaithersburg in June due to DNA matching.
Police say detectives submitted a DNA sample to the crime laboratory for analysis, and this week they were told the sample was matched to a DNA sample of 21-year-old Kadeer Malik Mack.
Police then got an arrest warrant for Mack and Rockville City Police arrested him during a traffic stop shortly after midnight on Tuesday.
According to police, Mack is charged with one count of first-degree rape and one count of committing a first-degree sex offense. He is being held without bond.
