Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - Tampa Bay Lightning captain Vincent Lecavalier is
reportedly nursing a broken foot and could be sidelined for three weeks.
The Lightning placed Lecavalier on injured reserve March 14 with what the team
termed a lower-body injury. He last played two days earlier in a 3-2 win
against Florida.
A report Tuesday from the Tampa Bay Times detailed the injury, saying it is a
minor fracture that may be near or at the same spot where Lecavalier suffered
a bone bruise after being hit by a shot on Feb. 2.
The paper also said Lecavalier won't travel with the team for a three-game
road trip that starts Wednesday in Toronto.
Lecavalier has posted seven goals and 22 points through 26 games this season.
