Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - The Detroit Red Wings and defenseman Kyle
Quincey agreed to terms on a two-year contract on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old Ontario native split last season between Colorado and Detroit,
tallying seven goals with 26 points in 72 games. He was acquired from the Avs
in late February.
Quincey, new in the Motor City, was suspended one game without pay by the NHL
for charging Florida Panthers forward Tomas Kopecky in early April -- an
infraction which also cost him nearly $17,000 in salary.
In 257 NHL appearances since 2005 with the Red Wings, Kings and Avalanche, the
rearguard has totaled 18 goals and 95 points.
