Winnipeg, MB (Sports Network) - The Winnipeg Jets agreed to terms with veteran center Kyle Wellwood on a new contract Friday.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it is reported to be a one-year pact worth $1.6 million.

Wellwood had 18 goals and a career-high 47 points in 77 games for the Jets last season.

The eight-year veteran has played in 450 career games with Toronto, Vancouver, San Jose and Winnipeg, amassing 86 goals, 134 points and a plus-11 rating.
