Missoula, MT (Sports Network) - Jordan Gregory recorded a game-high 21 points
as the Montana Grizzlies defeated the Sacramento State Hornets, 63-52, in Big
Sky Conference play at Dahlberg Arena.
Kareem Jamar added 12 points, four assists, and four rebounds for the
Grizzlies (22-6, 18-1 Big Sky). Montana moved to a three-game winning streak.
For the Hornets (14-14, 8-11), John Dickson scored a team-high 15 points. Mikh
McKinney contributed 11 points and Jordan Salley chipped in 10.
In the first half, SSU was held to 28 percent from the floor and 2-of-6 from
long-range. Montana knocked down 50 percent of it's field goal tries and
3-of-7 3-point attempts, en route to a 29-22 advantage at the break.
In the second, SSU was held to 1-of-11 from beyond the arc. Montana made 43.5
percent from the floor including 4-of-10 from long-range as it took the
11-point victory.
SSU was held to 35.8 percent from the floor including a mere 3-of-17 on
3-point tries Montana knocked down 46.5 percent of its shots including
7-of-17 beyond the arc on the night.
