MANASSAS, Va. (WUSA9) -- Car shop employees and a customer got into a fight after the workers allegedly took the customer's car on a joy ride, say police.
Police say someone called 9-1-1 but hung up from a location in the 9300 block fo Wellington Road last Friday night. When officers arrived at the scene, they were told that two car shop employees and a customer got into an argument and a knife and gun were drawn.
According to the customer, he was having work done on a 2000 Mercedes E320. He came to the shop to check on his car and told police he discovered that shop employees had taken it out for a joy ride without his permission. The three men got into an argument and police say worker James Lee Jack threatened the customer with a kitchen knife. The customer then removed his gun from a holster and held it at his waist, say police.
No one was injured, according to police, but Glen Felix Thomas and Jack were arrested and charged with Intoxicated in Public. Jack was also charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Attempted Malicious Wounding, Obstruction of Justice, Destruction of Property and two counts of Threats to Law Enforcement, according to police.
Jack was held without bond. Both men have a pending court date of July 23.
