LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. (WUSA) - An undercover detective has been charged with driving while intoxicated near the Lansdown Town Center, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Dept.
On Nov. 10 at about 12:30 a.m., police responded to a report of a possibly intoxicated man trying to leave the scene in a vehicle. The man, later identified as an undercover detective, struck two parked cars while driving his personal car.
His name has not been released due to safety concerns about him and his involvement in ongoing criminal investigations, according to the Sheriff's Dept. The detective, a 10-year-veteran, was taken into custody and placed on paid administrative leave.
