STERLING, Va. (WUSA) -- A young man is charged with brandishing a firearm within 1000 feet of a school and carrying a concealed weapon after an incident on Saturday.
According to Loudoun County authorities, a resident reported that two females came to the door of the home in the 100 block of Brighton Road shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday to report that someone was following them. Deputies were able to find the females, who told them a man was sitting in a vehicle with a firearm.
Deputies later identified the man as 21-year-old Semere Z. Mengistu of Sterling. He was arrested and charged.
