MANASSAS, Va. (WUSA) -- A Manassas man is charged with reckless handling of a firearm after allegedly firing a rifle to try to kill a squirrel...in the direction of a man who was out walking his dog.

According to police, they received a call from a man who reported that he was walking his dog in the 6100 block of River Forest Drive on Tuesday night when 41-year-old Carl John Whipple walked out of his home.
