LAYTONSVILLE, Md. (WUSA) -- A 2-year-old boy was flown to a local trauma/burn center with severe burn injures, officials said.
Montgomery County Police responded to a call for a pediatric injury at about 6:34 p.m. at the 21000 block of Gold Dr. in Laytonsville.
According to police, the boy drank from a hot cup of coffee and was seriously burned.
The boy was flown to Children's hospital in serious condition after being burned from the liquid.
