GLENARDEN, Md. (WUSA) -- A Prince George's County police recruit asked his girlfriend of two years to marry him right after his graduation ceremony on Tuesday. 

Ricky Wu, honored as Outstanding Student Officer at the ceremony, popped the question to Ashley Le on the stage at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden. She accepted and the department shared post-proposal photos of the couple on its blog on Wednesday.

Police say Officer Wu starts his first day of duty on Wednesday.
