Over 100 guests including Miss DC Bindhu Pamarthi and DC Senator Michael Brown joined in the festivities. Twenty years ago, Strauss opened his law firm in his apartment with one lawyer. Three years later, Strauss was elected US Senator for DC. On December 6, 1993, Strauss announced the opening of his private practice at the Adams Morgan restaurant. The Little Fountain Cafe owner Patrick O'Donnell was his firm's first client. Today, the firm represents small business owners, tenant associations and residents all over the District.
