WASHINGTON (WUSA) --  D.C. police are investigating after a woman was sexually assaulted behind at house Tuesday morning in the 4400 block of Gault Place, NE.

According to police, the woman was walking there at approximately 6:40 a.m. when she was approached by a man on a mountain bike. They say the man then took out a handgun and forced the woman behind a house where he sexually assaulted her.  She then fled and called police.

The sexual assault suspect is described as a black male, 21 or 22 years old, 5'6" tall and 140 pounds with a cut under his left eye, shoulder length dreadlocks/plaits, and no facial hair. He was wearing a black coat with red symbol on front, dirty light blue jeans, and black shoes.
