WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- A tiff turned ugly at a metro stop overnight Saturday.
According to a metro spokesperson, at about 2 a.m. two groups - with a total of more than ten people - started verbally arguing at the Shaw-Howard station. The altercation turned physical on the platform, ending with one man and one woman being stabbed/slashed from an unknown object.
Officials say both victims were taken to the hospital for lacerations to the back and hand. The suspects fled in an unknown direction. Metro police detectives are reviewing video and witness statements.
