WASHINGTON, D.C. (WUSA) - On Thanksgiving Eve, it was time to get going to grandma's house.

Approximately 43.6 million Americans will be taking to the highways this holiday weekend.

Gas prices are down -- so that number is up a bit for this year.

And on Wednesday, the AAA was taking dozens of calls at a dispatch center in Landover.

But as Scott Broom discovered, other road angels are out there this  season. If you just has someone check that old spare,- and make sure you have a good battery you will be more prepared for avoiding holiday hell on the roadthan most other folks out here.
