WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- D.C. police say they responded to two separate pedestrian accidents in Northwest on Monday.

One crash happened at 18th and L NW at 11:23 a.m. The driver stayed at the scene and the pedestrian was transported to Sibley Hospital.

The second crash happened around the same time at 19th and L Street NW. The crash involved a silver Toyota with South Carolina plates. The Toyota left the scene. One person was taken to the hospital.
