WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -  The atmosphere will remain unstable Thursday. A cold front will approach from the west triggering another round or two of showers and T-storms. We'll see scattered showers and T-storms this afternoon and evening and some could approach severe levels.

The strong cold front moves through the Metro Area late Thursday night along with much cooler air. Friday will see some late clearing with spotty showers that will be tapering off Friday afternoon. The Memorial Day weekend looks rather brisk. Highs will struggle to reach seventy Saturday with lows in the forties in the suburbs Friday and Saturday night.

The Moore, OK tornado has now been classified an EF-5 tornado with winds of 210 mph.
