WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Adam Kokesh planned to have an Open Carry March on Washington on July 4th, but United States Park Police announced earlier that he had cancelled it.
Now, Kokesh has posted a video on YouTube titled "Open Carry March on DC a Success" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-sAGGoPidEY). The synopsis of the video reads, "Can you count the felonies committed in this video? No, you can't possibly count them all."
In the video, Kokesh appears to be loading a gun in Freedom Plaza on July 4 (according to the slate on the video) while saying: "We will not be silenced, we will not obey, we will not allow our government to destroy our humanity. We are the final, American, revolution. See you next Independence Day!"

Kokesh appeared on WUSA 9 back in May to talk about his proposed March. Later, Park Police said Kokesh cancelled the march and the police pointed out that participants would have violated firearm laws on several parts of the route, including portions of the George Washington Memorial Parkway in D.C. (www.nps.gov/gwmp/parkmgmt/firearms.htm).
US Park Police know about the video, says a spokesman, and they responded to Freedom Plaza to investigate. Park Police officers did not find Kokesh, or any protest going on, there.
The spokesperson said Park Police are investigating, but at this point cannot determine how the video was recorded, and if and when Kokesh may have been at Freedom Plaza with a gun.
After speaking with the USPP spokesperson, the Metropolitan Police Department released the following statement:
"The Metropolitan Police Department and US Park Police are aware that today Adam Kokesh posted a video that appears to have been taken in Freedom Plaza in Northwest, DC. We are in the process of determining the authenticity of the video."
