(WUSA9) -- Public safety workers were honored Wednesday at the 36th annual Prince George's County Valor Awards Luncheon.
Firefighters, paramedics, and others will be recognized for special efforts in rescues over the last year. Those incidents include a February 2012 arson in Riverdale, Md. where 7 firefighters were injured. Some had to be helped out of the burning home.
Wednesday's ceremony will be at the Martin's Crosswinds restaurant in Greenbelt.
