WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Police have arrested a Riverdale man for sexually abusing a child at school where he is employed.
The suspect, 30-year-old, Jason Jamar Howard of the 6200 block of 64th Avenue is an employee at Glenn Dale Elementary School in Glenn Dale, police said.
According to officials, the preliminary investigation reveals Howard sexually abused a young child at the school on April 17. The victim's parent alerted police. Howard admitted sexually abusing the child on more than one occasion during the current and last school years, while speaking to police detectives, police said.
Howard is charged with sex abuse of a minor and related charges, police said.
