WASHINGTON (WUSA)-- Chinese New Year is right around the corner.
Rita Lee, Chair of the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association, stopped by WUSA9 on Thursday to encourage viewers to participate in the upcoming Chinese New Years Parade in Chinatown.
The parade is scheduled to take place Sunday, Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. DC Mayor Vincent Gray is scheduled to speak, and a fire cracker presentation will take place soon after.
An estimated 45,000 people came out last year to celebrate the "Year of the Dragon" at the parade in DC. Lee predicts that even more people will show up for this year's parade.
