Far Hills, NJ (Sports Network) - The United States Golf Association announced
on Monday that Squire Creek Country Club will host the 2015 U.S. Women's Mid-
Amateur Championship.
The championship is scheduled to take place Oct. 3-8 at the course in
Choudrant, La. Squire Creek, which hosted local qualifying for the U.S. Open
in 2008 and 2009, will host its first USGA Championship, after opening in
2002.
"Squire Creek Country Club is an avid supporter of amateur golf and is honored
to host the 2015 U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur Championship," said Rick Maier,
director of grounds and general manager for Squire Creek Country Club and
Development. "We are excited about working with the USGA to provide a great
venue for the championship and a challenging test of golf for all competitors.
Our members and staff look forward to hosting a memorable event filled with
our unique Louisiana hospitality."
Meghan Stasi defeated Liz Waynick, 6 & 5, at this year's U.S. Women's Mid-
Amateur Championship at Briggs Ranch Golf Club in San Antonio. It was the
fourth time Stasi won the title.
