Ko comes to WUSA from WBOC in Salisbury, Md., where she served as videojournalist, fill-in producer, anchor and webmaster.
She's been honored by the Chesapeake Associated Broadcasters Press Association for her use of multimedia. She was also recognized for a week-long series on the one-year anniversary of Sarah Foxwell, a girl whose body was found Christmas 2009.
Ko also covered the Maryland General Assembly, Hurricane Irene and filed numerous reports from helicopter.
Prior to the eastern shore, she worked for NY1 News and Time.com.
Ko grew up on Guam, but is no stranger to Washington. She interned at National Public Radio's headquarters and has family in the immediate area.
Ko holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. She enjoys volunteering and is a board member of the Asian American Journalists Association-DC Chapter.
