POOLESVILLE, Md. (WUSA) -- Some of the best computer hackers in the world are at Poolesville High School and that's a good thing.
The U.S. Department of Defense recently held an international hacking contest and four seniors from PHS came out on top! They not only won the high school division, they came in 36th out of more than 1100 teams. They beat graduate students and many programming professionals when the contest was over.
As a reward they were able to present their project at a conference in Atlanta, where they also took classes with FBI, NSA and law enforcement agents from around the country.
Computer experts told them if they perform well in computer science classes in college, they could get out with a job paying $120,000!
Now that's COOL!
