Ko Im comes to WUSA from WBOC in Salisbury, Md., where she served as video journalist, fill-in producer, anchor and webmaster.
She's been honored by the Chesapeake Associated Broadcasters Press Association for her use of multimedia. She was also honored for a week-long series on the one-year anniversary of Sarah Foxwell, a girl whose body was found Christmas 2009.
Ko has covered the Maryland General Assembly and filed numerous reports from the WBOC's Chopper.
Prior to coming to the eastern shore, she worked for NY1 News and Time.com.
Ko grew up on Guam, but is no stranger to Washington. She interned at National Public Radio's headquarters and spent many holidays in the immediate area.
Ko holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. She is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association.
