I am in WEEK SIX of my Couch to 5K training program.
My pals Susan and Anetra joined me on our "jog" this morning.
This is what Week 6 can look like:
-- 5 minute warm up
-- Jog for 10 minutes, walk for 1 minutes
-- Jog for 8 minutes, walk 2 minutes
-- A 5 minute cool down
Today's going to be the hardest workout yet. It's a 20 minute jog with no walk breaks. But I need to ramp things up. My 5K is only 3 weeks away. And I want you to come run with me. Susan is! Anetra is! We are running -- or run/walking -- the Glow-In-The-Dark fun run at RFK stadium. It is Friday, November 9. LivingSocial has partnered with Mercy Corps to use a portion of proceeds to deliver a-thousand solar lanterns to school children in need in Somalia.

And you guys are inspiring me to keep at it. Viewer Ron Larkin just finished Week 6. On days when I want to skip my workout, Ron's tweets about his morning runs keep me going.
And another shout out to viewer Mike Reyes. He stopped smoking in 2008 and started cycling. Now he's out there rain or snow. He hit 6,000 miles cycling last year. WOW! Go Mike.
Mike gave me some really good tips I want to share with you. If you are wearing earbuds, keep the music low enough so you can hear passing cars and cyclists. And please wear reflective gear if you run at dawn or dusk.
