WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Thursday, Kathi Stanhope, a volunteer with Montgomery County Humane Society, brought in a great bonded pair of beagles named Sam and Sylvia. They are up for adoption and the organization's poster children for Paws in the Park on April 28 at noon at Bohrer Park in Gaithersburg.
Sylvia is a six-year-old, spayed beagle who has lived with Sam her entire life. Their old family moved somewhere but the beagles couldn't stay. Sylvia is a very affectionate dog and very willing to work and learn, say MCHS. Sylvia and Sam are housetrained and get along well with other dogs and children.
They're beagles, so their adopter will need a secure yard where they can run safely. You should know that sometimesthey can be loud!
There's an adoption fee special for them: $200 for the pair instead of $175 each.
