WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- You'll want to factor this into your budgeting this year: gas prices are heading higher.
The national average is up three cents to $3.30 a gallon in the past week, and it's up 8 cents since hitting a 2012 low of $3.22 in mid-December.
Prices at the pump are likely to get worse in the coming weeks. This year, AAA expect gas to average less than $3.60 a gallon, which is a little less than last year.
