DEALE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Officials are investigating a possible animal cruelty case in Md.
Police responded to the 6000 block of Allwine Avenue around 10:57 a.m. Friday morning, after a report of a possible animal abuse case. When officials arrived at the scene, they discovered three-year-old 'Marley', a Beagle/Boston Terrier mix, who had died after suffering from an unknown type of wound near its shoulder area, officials said.
The owner of the dog let his dog out around 9:00 a.m. into a wooded area adjacent to his home. When he went to look for his dog, he found the dog laying about 20 yards into the wooded area from his house, officials said.
