WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Decoding Annie Parker is the real life story of a woman who searches for answers to why cancer is ravaging her family. The movie also stars Helen Hunt who plays the geneticist who discovered the BRCA I gene mutation linked to a higher incidence of breast and ovarian cancers.

Parker told us about her cancer journey and her thoughts on the movie. Bernstein spoke about what inspired him to make the film.
